Monday again.

Spiced Pear and Pomegranate Parfait

1/2 ripe pear

Pomegranate seeds (as you like it)

170 gr Greek yogurt

Almond and dired apricot granola

Cinnamon and a little nutmeg to taste

Honey

Almonds

Mix the spices with the pear and the pomegranate seeds and honey to taste; lay the fruits (it’s better if you refrigerate it for a while- I made it while showering- to blend the flavors), the yogurt, the granola and repeat. Garnish with a slice of pear, some pomegranate seeds, sliced almonds and honey.

It’s actually a really quick recipe IF you already have the pomegranate seeds separated from the pomegranate fruit. Otherwise you would use at least 20 minutes (or more!) to divide the seeds from the fruit, AND your kitchen tiles would become a nice blood-red.

Life experiences, I tell you!

Edit:

I forgot to tell you that the italian name of pomegranate is “melograno” and it’s one of my favorite words (it’s ten times better than the english term).

  1. nyamii..nice photo 😀

  2. I’ve never had pomegranate seeds, are they similar to cranberries?

    • Not really, they are juicy and crunchy, the whole fruit looks like a giant red ball. I love them so much but it’s a hell to seed them!

  3. Bri: of course you can!
